AudreyAnne Estess, a second-year MSU CVM DVM student, has been elected to serve on the national executive board of the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA). Estess was encouraged to run for the office of treasurer by her peers and mentors while representing the College at the SAVMA House of Delegates meeting held in Washington, DC, last August. She will serve as treasurer-elect until August 2020, when she will transition into the role of treasurer during her final year of veterinary school. In this position, Estess will oversee the organization’s national budget and assist with distribution of scholarships and grants to veterinary students across the country. She will also attend SAVMA Symposiums and AVMA Conventions while in office.
