A. Cancer therapeutics: Understanding the genetic/epigenetic background in cancer pathophysiology, development of translational cancer therapeutics and the role of phytochemicals in clinical adjuvant therapeutic strategies.
B. One Health Initiative: Environmental contamination, disease emergence / re-emergence and global health, personalised nutrition and chronic disease prevention.
C. Circular economy: health-promoting properties of sustainable and eco-friendly biomolecules for the development of end user applications / consumer product formulations, waste recycling.
D. Biomedical Engineering: Biocompatibility and functional performance of novel engineered materials for orthopaedic implants, drug delivery platforms, etc.
